The centerpiece of AFR childcare's infant program is social contact: We only enroll 4 infants to one caregiver , because we believe the social emotional needs of each infant is paramount at this age.
Naptime is a necessity for these busy little bodies and naps are taken in personal cribs, with any security items children bring from home.
We support, love and nurture your baby. Plenty of cuddling, rocking, cooing and comforting takes place each day. They are responded to quickly; their cues are read and acted upon without delay. All this human contact encourages babies to communicate and helps them develop the self-confidence to explore their environment.
Your baby is a remarkable little person, constantly growing, learning and changing. Nurturing teachers delight in your child's development and provide endless opportunities for learning and discovery in a safe, secure, healthy environment. Non crawlers are protected from crawling or walking babies.
Our classrooms monitored by closed-circuit security cameras, viewable only by parents in the entrance hallway. Cupboards are locked for safety, outlets are either covered or out of children's reach. Extensive sanitation procedures include the required use of indoor shoes or socks, toy sanitation, and regularly laundered bedding, washcloths and bibs.
Story-time and books spark the beginnings of literacy.
We work with your baby to build foundations that encourage a lifelong love of learning. Soft, comfortable play spaces and safe, interesting toys encourage exploration and discovery. This facilitates large motor skill development, like rolling over, sitting up and crawling. In addition to cuddling and rocking, teacher-child interactions include games that develop nueral pathways as well as reaching, grasping and tracking skills.
