Our room includes security cameras. Potentially harmful objects or substances are kept from children's reach. Outlets are either covered or located in safe areas.

Health and safety procedures include daily toy and surface sanitation, the laundering of Pretend Center clothing, and regular hand-washing by teachers and students.

Our Child-friendly toilet facility encourages self-help skills and decrease the need for adult intervention.

Getting ready for kindergarten is exciting – and we want your child to stay excited about learning. So while we increase the focus on math, science, language and social studies, we make sure it’s presented with a big dose of fun. Our curriculum follows the guidelines for developmentally appropriate practice set forth by national accrediting associations. Our curriculum helps children develop the critical thinking and problem-solving skills they’ll need to succeed in kindergarten, school and life. Teachers plan lessons to deepen understanding of basic academic concepts through exploration, investigation and play. We provide a place where children can challenge themselves and enjoy the thrill of discovery as they look forward to school. In fact, a recent study showed that children in our program made substantial gains in development and had the necessary skills to enter and excel in kindergarten.

Our comprehensive reading program involves every avenue to the brain through play and fun age appropriate activities. Children leaving here for kindergarten are reading at a National end of 2nd grade level. Children also have a firm foundation in math and other subjects and enter kindergarten excelling in these area as well.

Our Pre-Kindergarten program provides children with guided experiences, supervised by caring adults, in safe and secure settings.

We foster self-esteem and develop a love of learning. Play places, personal spaces and a premier security system creates a learning atmosphere that is ideal for early childhood education.
In our journey we will be singing songs, dancing, doing art projects, cutting and pasting, watching and performing puppet shows, using hands on manipulatives, playing card games , active games, and going on treasure hunts and other adventures.
