How ?

Children learn better when they move their bodies.

We use Sign Language to help children learn vocabulary in English, Mandarin, and Spanish.

We also use short videos with native speakers who teach the vocabulary and sentences to children on the videos through direct instruction and then games, songs, and actions.

*During the video the children participate in the games, songs, and actions.

*Then when the children learn the games well enough we play them after the video. The videos build upon themselves exspanding the childs vocabulary.

We also use the vocabulary during the day in other activities such as

using the sign for wash your hands, saying the English phrase: wash your hands, and saying the Spanish phrase: lavarse los manos.

The children also sign, use the vocabulary and sing the songs in Mandarin.

How do you teach ? and How, Do I know what my child is saying ?

We keep the parents informed by :

Providing vocabulary words

Allowing parents to check out videos over the weekend.

And of course the children themselves will let the parents know when they are able.
