Accelerated Learning & Multiple Language Instruction

Children learn better when they move their bodies.

• We use Sign Language to help children learn vocabulary in English, Mandarin, and Spanish.

• We also use short videos with native speakers who teach the vocabulary and sentences to children on the videos through direct instruction and then games, songs, and actions.

*During the video the children participate in the games, songs, and actions.

 *Then when the children learn the games well enough we play them after the video. The videos build upon themselves exspanding the childs vocabulary.

• We also use the vocabulary during the day in other activities such as

using the sign for wash your hands, saying the English phrase: wash your hands, and saying the Spanish phrase: lavarse los manos.

• The children also sign, use the vocabulary and sing the songs in Mandarin.

How do you teach ? and How, Do I know what my child is saying ?

Videos used:

Signing Times series 1 consists of around 18 videos who use English to teach A S L.

English vocabulary is taught by Rachel Coleman, children and and a Frog. The children here sign, and sing along with the videos. We use one video a month. and not everyday. After a few days of each month the children are able to sign the vocabulary on their own and no longer need the video.

Infants and Toddlers are taught by us during their play, and are not sat down to watch videos.
